Also called « tui shou » in chinese, the Push-hands is one of my favourite exercice in tai chi. It is a practical method of traditional Tai Chi martial arts.
How does it work ?
Two students with their arms in contact practice twining and sticking actions to develop the sense of touch, awareness and balance within the body. This is the training method where Tai Chi movements connect with martial arts applications, and develops the understanding of how small forces can defeat strong physical power. If one really understand it, he can almost become invisible!
I strongly believe that people change through learning tui shou because it develop a high level of listening and feeling. All is about listening, and it our society where everybody speaks but no one listen it is so important.
